The University of St. Thomas
women's basketball team picked up a road win knocking off Dallas Christian College 74-53 on Jan. 15. This is UST’s fifth win of the last six games.
Maghen Lormand led the Celts with 26 points and 15 rebounds.
Amber Arceneaux-Francis chipped in with 22 points and 10 rebounds.
Head Coach Mike Ricks said, although the team got the win, the Celts need to increase their defensive presence going into a long stretch of
Red River Athletic Conference play.
"The games coming up are so important, and we can't afford to waste a single day,” Ricks said. “It's going to be a real test for us. One thing's for sure: By next Tuesday, we'll know what we're made of."
The Celts hit the road for conference games against Texas College on Jan. 19 and Jarvis Christian College on Jan. 21.
