UST Hosts St. Patrick’s Day Mass and Traditional Irish Brunch

Photo: Celtic CrossThe University of St. Thomas William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies will host a traditional St. Patrick’s Day celebration beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 17.

His Eminence, Daniel N. Cardinal DiNardo will celebrate the Feast of St. Patrick with a Mass in the Chapel of St. Basil, 3802 Yoakum St., on the University campus. Professor Aoife Ní Ghloinn and other members of the Irish and UST community will perform the liturgical music. After Mass, stay for a traditional Irish feast of smoked salmon, Irish soda bread, scrambled eggs and much more. The brunch will be held in the Jerabeck Gymnasium, 4000 Mt. Vernon.

The cost is $20 per person in cash or check in advance, or $25 at the door. Please RSVP and send a check payable to the University of St. Thomas to Lori Gallagher, University of St. Thomas, 3800 Montrose Blvd, Houston, TX 77006, by Monday, March 7.
