11/8/2010
Photo: Danny O'FlahertySlip back in time and savor the holiday season as it has been celebrated for centuries among the Celtic countries, with art, dance, song, music, storytelling and drama at “A Celtic Christmas with Danny O’Flaherty and Friends.” The event will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5 on the University of St. Thomas campus, Jones Hall, 3910 Yoakum, and is sponsored by the University of St. Thomas Center for Irish Studies Cultural Outreach Program.

Born in the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland, Celtic Balladeer Danny O'Flaherty brings warmth to our hearts and smiles to our faces as we open the holiday season. The Celtic Christmas show celebrates the true Christmas spirit of the Celtic Nations of Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, Brittany, Galicia and the Isle of Man with tales of charming yuletide customs that evolved over the centuries.
