Center for International Studies Hosts UN Film Festival

The University of St. Thomas Center for International Studies and the United Nations Association-Houston will host the United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) from Thursday – Sunday, Jan, 27-30, on the UST campus in Cullen Hall, 4001 Mt. Vernon.

UNAFF was conceived in 1998 at Stanford University by film critic Jasmina Bojic in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. UNAFF screens documentaries by international filmmakers addressing human rights, environmental themes, population, migration, women’s issues, refugees, homelessness, racism, health, universal education, war and peace. UNAFF has screened some of the most awarded and talked about documentaries in the industry.
