Feast of St. Francis Transitus Service
Thursday, October 3, 2013 9:00 PM to 9:45 PM
The Franciscan Sisters of the Eucharist invite you to join them for a traditional Franciscan prayer service, Thursday, October 3, 2013, at 9 pm in the Chapel of St. Basil.

Each year on the evening of October 3, Franciscans all over the world celebrate Transitus, a simple, solemn service recalling the passing of Saint Francis into Eternal Life. It combines a series of readings and blessings first prayed by St. Francis. The last blessing is that over his dear city and homeland, Assisi. Wherever we are, we bless the city where we live, using St. Francis's words and songs. Therefore, we will process from the Chapel up to the top of the parking garage. There the priest will bless the city of Houston with the relics of St. Francis and St. Clare and we will close with prayer. Please join us and feel free to bring your friends. The Feast of St. Francis is Friday, October 4, 2013
Cost Free and open to the public
