James Reed Faulkner performs the story of an African-American slave from Louisiana who travels to Texas in 1877 to join the Buffalo Soldiers, 10th Cavalry.
Faulkner has written, performed and toured the country for over 30 years. He has been acting with the Buffalo Soldiers Museum for five years throughout the Houston community.

The mission of this event is to promote physical fitness and generate university wide excitement and involvement in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo taking place just down the street from campus. Fun activities, food and prizes!
