Performing Arts Society Membership Tea
Tuesday, November 6, 2012 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
The University of St. Thomas Performing Arts Society will kick off its membership year with the Membership Tea from 2-4 p.m. on Nov. 6 at a private River Oaks residence. The event will honor Kelli Cohen Fein and Martin Fein.

At the tea, members will have an opportunity to renew their membership, mingle, listen to talented UST singers perform and learn more about the second annual benefit scheduled for Jan. 22, when the Houston Symphony will perform Modest Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition."

The Feins were last year's chairs of the first benefit concert featuring Houston Opera soprano Ana Maria Martinez. At the concert, plans for UST’s Performing Arts Center were unveiled.

Established in 2010, the Society strives to provide students at UST, and the Greater Houston community, with access to quality performing arts opportunities while encouraging excellence. The Performing Arts Society co-chairs are Priscilla Plumb, member of the President’s Advisory Board, and Jack Doherty, past membership chair of Performing Arts Society.

All proceeds from the Membership Tea benefit scholarships for music and drama students at St. Thomas. Membership levels range from $125 to $1,000. Guests interested in attending the membership tea should contact Lauren Summerville at 713-942-5003 or email PerformingArts@stthom.edu.
