CSB Students Recognized for Leadership

On January 9, 2010, current and previous recipients of the Greater Houston Business Ethics Roundtable scholarship award welcomed the Cameron School of Business incoming class at the MBA spring orientation.
Current and former CSB students Rosa Boling, Afowiri “Kitz” Fondzenyuy and his colleague Anne Nazareno, Daniel Floryk, and Adrianne Poyet-Smith presented their achievements. Each person was recognized for their leadership and as examples of students whose work embodies the CSB intent: “Built on a foundation of five themes – ethical leadership, strategic innovation, systems thinking, global perspectives and value creation – the Cameron School of Business produces successful graduates equipped to enter the business world as ethical and socially responsible leaders.”
Rosa Boling, MBA is the manager of legal administration for Baker Hughes Incorporated, where she has spent her 22-year career in the global legal department. Her leadership interests include leading a life based on the principles of excellence, integrity, empowerment, and passion for living. Her MBA was awarded December 2009.
Afowiri "Kitz" Fondzenyuy, MBA, MFIN is founder and managing director of Amom Foundation which has reached out to almost 4,000 children in Cameroon. He is a social entrepreneur and finance professional. He obtained a certificate in Strategic Framework for nonprofit/non governmental organizations (SFNO) at John. F. School of Government at Harvard University.
He earned his MBA from UST in 2006 and a master’s degree in finance at Tulane University in 2009.
Daniel Floryk, PhD is a basic research scientist in the field of prostate cancer at the MD Anderson. He was born and raised in the Czech Republic. Daniel started UST’s MBA program in spring 2009. Besides science, he is interested in corporate finance, development of sustainable leadership, and health care administration.
Anne Nazareno, MBA received her master’s degree from the Cameron School of Business in May of 2007. She is currently working as a change management consultant for a global consulting firm. Along with Kitz, she has helped develop and foster the growth of Amom Charity as the Organizational Development/New Projects Director.
Adrianne Poyet-Smith, originally from El Salvador, attended Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart in Houston. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude with a triple major from Trinity University in San Antonio. Poyet-Smith has been in marketing for a decade, currently consults with a retirement community, and speaks four languages: Spanish, English, French and Italian. She is attending the University of St. Thomas pursuing her MBA, and serves on the board of directors for the American Marketing Association, Houston chapter.
