2/11/2010
The University of St. Thomas has appointed Patricia McKinley as the Vice President for Student Affairs. She will continue in her role as Dean of Students. She has served as the Interim Vice President for Student Affairs for the past year.
“Patricia McKinley has made major contributions for the care and assistance of our students,” said UST President Dr. Robert Ivany. “She is qualified for this position and has gained the confidence of staff, faculty and students during her tenure here at St. Thomas.”
McKinley came to the University in 1992 as the Associate Director of Counseling, Testing, and Career Services. In 1998, she was promoted to Director of the Career Services and Testing Center and, in 2006, the Dean of Students. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds public education certifications in counseling and social studies.
“I have had the privilege to work with many dedicated faculty and staff and to provide assistance to students in a variety of ways,” McKinley said. “I work with a great team of Student Affairs professionals who are devoted to enhancing the student experience at the University of St. Thomas.”
