Celts Fall to Incarnate Word and Our Lady of the Lake

 Playing their fourth straight road game, the Celts faced off against the postseason Division II squad at Incarnate Word on Nov. 16. After a close fought first half, which saw both teams shooting 40 percent from the field, the Celts came out in the second half looking to close out Incarnate Word.
Anthony Medina hit a clutch 3-pointer with a minute left to take the lead. Jordan Roddy then hit a 3-pointer for Incarnate Word to retake the lead. The Celts put the ball in Anthony Medina’s hands to but came up short when his 3-point went in and out. The 59-53 loss concluded the four straight road games.
Next up was Our Lady of the Lake back home at Jerabeck on Nov. 20. The Saints were receiving votes in the top 25 and came out playing like it. They took a 43-38 half time lead. Jeremy Lewis tried to keep in close with his 24 point outburst. Too many turnovers sealed the Celts fate as they lost 99-80. This marked the most points the Celts had given up all year. Kosi Nwosu pitched in with 15 points.
