10/20/2011

Rafael Bustos The Celts were back at home at the Houston Amateur Sports Park to face off against Texas College out of Tyler, Texas at 7 p.m. on Thursday.  The Celts came out strong again and dominated most of the possession and chances in the first half, but it was Texas College’s Dominguez (#13) who found the back of net first in the 31st minute. Just before the half, Rafael Bustos (#20) continued his scoring spree and netted the tying goal in the 41st minute, only five minutes after entering the match as a substitute. The Celts outshot Texas College 10-3 in the first half but the teams went into the break even at 1-1.

Bustos again struck quickly with the go ahead goal in the opening minute of the second half. He received a great long pass from Senior Asayat Camarena (#6). Bustos, still with a lot of work to do, took his a brilliant first touch, then beat the Texas College center back and struck the ball past A. Garcia. The goal gave Bustos 6 goals on the season. Again, in the 49th minute, Camarena got involved by heading a corner kick delivered by Omar Alonso (#10). Texas College kept fighting and brought the score to 3-2 late in the half, but the Celts held on to capture their 4th win in a row. The Celts outshot their opponent 20-6 for the day. Goalkeepers Jason Taffet (#25) and John Ruff (#0) combined for the win.
