men’s basketball team lost at the buzzer to Texas College on Dec. 1 in Jerabeck Gym. Titus Stevenson hit a 3-pointer as time expired to give the Steers a 53-50 victory.
Texas College led 24-18 after a sluggish first half. Jamal Robertson led the Steers in scoring with 19 points.
Guard
Travis Lampley led the Celts with 19 points and six assists. Forward
Caleb Williams finished with a game high of 11 rebounds, and he also scored eight points. Forward
Bryan Kaase shot for 10 points and muscled nine rebounds. Forward Ian Davis also chipped in six points and three rebounds in limited playing time.
The loss drops St. Thomas to 5-3 on the season. The team does not play again until the next home game versus Wiley College at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 in Jerabeck Gym.
