2/18/2013
The University of St. Thomas men’s basketball team beat Paul Quinn College, 75-66, on Feb. 18. The Celts are 21-6 for the season and will definitely play in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament in March.
The Paul Quinn Tigers were averaging more than 90 points a game, but have an overall record of only 11-16 and are now ineligible for post-season play. The Tigers’ Aaron McCuin led all scorers with 22 points and had 13 rebounds.
St. Thomas will play Huston-Tillotson University on Feb. 21 in Austin, Texas. The last home game of the year is on Feb. 23 versus Louisiana State University-Shreveport. As a part of Homecoming weekend, seniors Lampley, Williams, Barrett Lauer, Adrian Morales and Andrew Graves will be honored before the game at 4 p.m.
