Dr. Sodomora is visiting from the Ukraine on a Fulbright scholarship. He will work on translating the writing of St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine into Ukrainian as well as conducting research on the problems in rendering philosophical terms in Ukrainian. He is being hosted by the Center for Thomistic Studies.
The Fulbright Program is sponsored by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, with additional funding coming from participating governments and hosts in the United States and abroad.
It was established in 1946 by the late U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright of Arkansas. The Fulbright Program has provided students, scholars and teachers from the United States and around the world the opportunity to observe each others political, economic, educational and cultural institutions. The program operates in more than 150 countries around the world.
