Dr. Edward Houser to Deliver Paper at Marquette University

 Dr. Edward Houser, professor of philosophy, will deliver a paper at Marquette University’s Aquinas and the Arabs: A Research Seminar Conference on the Role of Arabic Philosophy in the Thought of Thomas Aquinas in his Commentary on the Sentences on Oct. 11.
His paper is titled: ‘The Subtler Reasoning of Avicenna’: Aquinas’s ‘Short Course’ on the Principles of Avicennian Metaphysics included within Sacred Doctrine, Parisian Scriptum, 1. D. 8. Q. 1, Art. 1-3”. This Seminar is part of the Aquinas and the Arabs Project which “encourages work in all three [Abrahamic] traditions and is particularly interested in influences, parallel developments and also unique and valuable philosophical and theological insights and contributions to the history of philosophy.”
