Pi Sigma Alpha Receives Funding For Spring Projects
12/11/2008 The University of St. Thomas Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha, received full funding from the National Pi Sigma Alpha Office and Chapter Activity Grant Committee to finance two activities scheduled for the 2009 spring semester – a panel discussion and luncheon exploring the President’s first 100 days in office, and a service project delivering Easter baskets to children at the Texas Children's Cancer Center.
This year the Pi Sigma Alpha National Office received 111 proposals from 86 chapters across the United States. UST was one few chapters nationwide that received full funding for multiple projects. UST was the only Pi Sigma Alpha Chapter in the Houston area to receive funding for any project proposals from Pi Sigma Alpha.
In addition to this nationwide recognition, the Chapter was also honored by the UST Council of Clubs as UST’s Best New Club for the fall 2008 semester.
