Archdiocese Hosts Mass for the Anointing of the Sick
February 11, the day on which the Church commemorates the apparition of Our Lady at Lourdes, has become the day designated by the Vatican as the World Day of the Sick.
His Eminence Daniel Cardinal DiNardo will celebrate an Anointing Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 7 p.m. Archbishop Fiorenza, Bishop Vasquez, and Bishop Rizzotto will concelebrate. All are invited to attend this Mass.
The Sacrament of the Sick is reserved for those whose health is seriously impaired by sickness or old age. If you plan to attend and receive the Sacrament of the Sick, please call your Parish Office and let them know you will be in attendance and wish to receive the Sacrament. Also, please let them know how many people will be with you, even if they are not receiving the Sacrament of the Sick.
