SISA groupThe Southwestern International Studies Association (SISA) is a regional affiliate of the Southwestern Social Science Association. The states in the southwest region include Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. However membership is not limited to this particular region, and over the years SISA has attracted individuals from all over the country as well as from overseas.

The Center for International Studies is the editorial headquarters for the Southwestern Journal of International Studies with Dr. Hans Stockton as journal editor. The Journal publishes interdisciplinary studies and commentary about the issues shaping our world from contemporary and historical perspectives.

Center for International Studies
Established in 1981, the Center for International Studies is Houston's oldest degree-granting center of international higher learning. International Studies prepares students for careers in international business, law, politics and public service. In addition, the Center promotes understanding of international relations, cultural differences and the benefits that come from cooperation within the human family.
