    Two University of St. Thomas alumnae were awarded for their achievements as elementary educators in Houston.

    Michelle Pollack Lopez ‘99, a music teacher at Martin Elementary, was named Teacher of the Year for Alief Independent School District. Hilda Nanez ’14 was named the 2015 HAABE Bilingual Teacher of the Year by the Houston Area Association for Bilingual Educators.
