Vatican Expert Addresses Graduates
The Rev. Thomas Rosica, CSB, will address graduating students at the 64th annual UST Commencement Ceremony. The 289 undergraduate students and 739 graduate students will join family and friends as they walk across the stage and celebrate their hard work at Reliant Arena on May 17.

You know the food is good when members of two Houston restaurant dynasties join forces to judge the contest of tasty tacos. Phyllis and Tony Mandola and Jeff Vallone were the high-profile taste-testers for the 3rd Annual Two Saints and a Taco Tasting on April 24.
 
Geneticists Join Botanist to Barcode Orchids
Imagine in the future, a customs agent at border control doesn’t have to guess if a traveler’s plant is an endangered species. He could simply put a sample of the plant into a machine and read the genetic “barcode.”

People looking for a healthy snack have to look no further than the UST campus. On Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., Roy Nlemba, a farmer with Plant It Forward, sells the produce he grows in UST’s urban garden at his farm stand.
