In the largest educational advertising awards competition in the country, University of St. Thomas won 10 awards: two golds, two silvers, one bronze and five merits. The winning materials were produced by the Marketing Communications and Creative Services offices.
Dr. Malcolm Solomon, associate professor of music at the University of St. Thomas, is a composer featured in the showcase, “Honoring the African American Artist and Composer” on Friday, Feb. 21.
A new comedy play, “Funny Thing about Ghosts,” has been released recently by Sam Havens, drama professor emeritus at University of St. Thomas, where he taught playwriting and screenwriting for 44 years.
Pamela Demny already had her master’s in elementary education from another university and had been teaching elementary education for 30 years, but it was UST’s Educational Leadership Program that finally enabled her to advance to the administrator position she desired.
New Chief to Lead University Police
The University of St. Thomas named James Tate as chief of University Police on Feb. 24. Tate replaces Daryl Bissett who held the position of chief of Security for six years.
