What About Cases of Rape?
Thursday, November 15, 2012 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Conceptions resulting from rape often cause people on both sides of the abortion issue to stop and reflect on their beliefs. Questions arise, such as: "Will the pregnancy force the mom to relive her rape over and over?" "Will the child ever live a normal life knowing he was conceived in rape?" "Can a woman's body really prevent pregnancy if she is being raped?" "Does the child conceived in rape deserve the same rights as those who were not?"
Join Celts for Life at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 in Scanlan Room as they discuss this sensitive, yet important issue. The event features a variety of speakers sharing their experiences of the issue. Ryan Bomberger, founder of the Radiance Foundation, was conceived in rape. Dr. Donna Harrison, M.D., is the director of Research and Public Policy for the American Association of Pro-Life OB/GYNS. Also, Rebekah Berg is a mother and survivor of rape.
