Ken DeDominicis Vice President of Institutional Advancement
As vice president of Institutional Advancement responsible for marketing and development, Ken DeDominicis successfully raised $65 million in the Shining Star Capital Campaign, which led to the dramatic transformation of the University of St. Thomas campus in the heart of Houston’s Museum District. His work includes the development of the Shining Star logo, which won a silver Addy from the Houston Ad Federation 2002.
The marketing and development of universities dominates DeDominicis’ 30-year career. Before coming to the University of St. Thomas in 2000, he served for nine years as vice president for Institutional Advancement at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and played a key role in converting the institution from the upper level Corpus Christi State University to its present four-year status. His career also includes positions at Cornell, North Carolina State and the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.
DeDominicis earned his Bachelor’s cum laude at LaSalle University, Master of Public Administration at North Carolina State, and he has pursued doctoral studies at the University of Houston. A veteran, DeDominicis served in the Army Security Agency as a Russian Linguist. He speaks or reads Russian, French, Italian, German and Spanish. |
