Vice President for Planning and Technology and Special Assistant to the President
Gary McCormack joined the University of St. Thomas in March of 1999 as the vice president for Information Technology. He assumed additional responsibilities as special assistant to the President in April 2005. In July 2011, he became Vice President for Planning and Technology. Over his 31 36 year career in higher education, Mr. McCormack has held a variety of administrative roles.
Immediately prior to coming to UST, he was the assistant vice president of Management Information Systems at the University of Houston. Mr. McCormack completed his Master of Business Administration at the University of Houston and his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of South Alabama. Mr. McCormack has lived in the Houston area since 1975.
