To apply for financial aid, all eligible students will complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) online at www.fafsa.gov. (The FAFSA needs to be submitted every year.)  Once submitted, the Department of Education will process your FAFSA and forward the information on to our office. Once we receive your FAFSA we'll respond to you in one of the following ways:

• An Award Package (an offer letter that includes various forms of financial aid)
• A request for additional eligibility documentation what is this?

• In order for your FAFSA information to be received by us, you must include UST’s school code of 003654.
  
• In order for UST's Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid to process your FAFSA information, you must be formally admitted to UST.
  
• January 1st– First day to complete and submit the FAFSA. Applying early can ensure availability of grant monies, if eligible.
  
• April 15th – Priority deadline for completing your financial aid application file (all requested documentation submitted to our office). Please note: You may still submit the FAFSA after the priority deadline. However, submitting your information by this priority deadline will ensure faster processing.
  
• Continuing students that have completed the FAFSA will be awarded in the spring, prior to the end of the spring semester.
