Exchange Agreements/Semester Programs - For UST Students going abroad.

An "exchange" study abroad is limited to those universities with which UST has a student exchange agreement, i.e., an exchange partner.  When a student participates in an exchange study abroad, she/he is considered in residence at UST and only pays tuition to UST, not the host university.  Course grades as well as credits are transferred back to the UST transcript.
A list of exchange partners can be found on the left sidebar in "Exchange Partners."  Students may study abroad as an exchange student for one or two semesters.

Non-Exchange programs are also available

A "non-exchange" study abroad is largely subject to the choice of the student, with some limitations and must be approved by the director of Study Abroad.  When a student participates in a non-exchange study abroad, she/he is considered out of residence if within the last 36 hours of degree completion at UST and only pays tuition to the host university.  Only course credits transfer back to UST.  Grades do not transfer to the UST transcript.

Information on non-UST, non-exchange opportunities may be found in the Study Abroad library in Tiller Hall and on the internet.  Students may study abroad as a non-exchange student for one or two semesters, but may not do so in the final 36 hours of degree completion.

In all instances, students should confer with their academic advisor as well as the Study Abroad Office.

In all instances, students are responsible for all travel, insurance, housing and additional misc. expenses
