Incoming Exchange Program Requirements from Partner Universities
Exchange programs are managed by the UST Study Abroad Office and our counterparts in our partner universities. All inquiries and applications must be handled by the Study Abroad Offices in both institutions.
Deadlines to apply for admissions: Fall - March 1 Spring - October 15
The following procedures must be completed.

- Complete the Admissions applications - The fee is not applicable.
- Have your university send an official copy of your transcript for advising to Diana Garcia.
- Send an official copy of the TOEFL (For Non-English partner universities) or ILETS
- SEVIS fee is paid when applying for the J-1 visas (student must pay this when applying for VISA)
- Send two (2) photos (passport size)
- Send a copy of your passport
- Provide Proof of Insurance
- Students must advise Diana Garcia and Dr. Hans Stockton of flight information including: Airlines, Date, Flight Number, and Arrival Time
- Airport and transportation to UST - Taxi approximately $50.00 to 1303 Sul Ross (Dorm Location) or 4004 Yoakum, Houston, TX 77006 (Study Abroad Office) or 3800 Montrose Blvd (Main UST address)

Your UST student ID card will be issued upon arrival.

August 24, 2009 First day of class.
September 7, 2009 Labor Day – No classes.
October 12-13, 2009 Mid-semester Break – No classes.
October 26, 2009 Spring registration begins for current students.
November 25-27, 2009 Thanksgiving Break – No classes -No dorm available.
December 7, 2009 Last Day of Class.
December 9-15, 2009 Exams.
Must move out of dorm – within 24 hours of last final exam
Spring 2009
January 18, 2010 Martin Luther King Holiday – No classes.
January 29, 2010 First day of classes
March 15-19, 2010 Spring Break – No classes – No dorm available
April 1-2, 2010 Easter Break – No classes – No dorm available
May 5, 2010 Last Day of Classes
May 6, 2010 Study Day
May 7-13, 2010 Exams
Must move out of dorm within 24 hours of last final exam.
Please make special note as to holidays where housing will be closed to students. International students must be prepared to stay with friends or at another location.
