Adam Gibson - Honors Graduate of 2000
Growing up in Conroe, Texas, Adam graduated from St. Thomas High School. So, enrolling at the University of St. Thomas seemed like the next logical step, especially since he was offered a full-tuition scholarship. After he received a letter of invitation to join the UST Honors Program, the rest was history. “The program was outstanding and one of the best parts of my education at UST,” says Adam. He enjoyed the coursework, though it was difficult to balance the time required for Honors classes against that for other classes.
After graduating from UST with a BA in International Studies, Adam went on to earn a J.D. from South Texas College of Law. Currently, he is International Trade Manager at the Greater Houston Partnership (the former Houston Chamber of Commerce, Houston World Trade Center and Economic Development Council). He would like to stay in Houston to practice law for non-profit organizations involved in international business.
Outside of his work duties, Adam travels frequently and is active in promoting the arts in Houston through organizations such as The Arts Initiative, Houston Center for Contemporary Craft, and the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
Forever an Honors student, Adam thinks “It would be great to reconvene alumni still in Houston for discussions, roundtables… sort of an alumni seminar.” So how about it, alumni? |
