Dr. John R. Leavins
Department Chair
John R. Leavins holds a PhD in Accounting from the University of Houston and is a Certified Public Accountant.. He has chaired the Department of Accounting at the University of St. Thomas for the past four years. Dr. Leavins previously chaired the Department of Finance, Accounting and Computer Information Systems at the University of Houston-Downtown and held the Fiesta Mart Endowed Professorship in Accounting. Dr. Leavins has published extensively in accounting and taxation journals. He also has many years of experience in both industry and public accounting |
