Meet the Dean
Fr. Pilsner formerly served as an associate professor of theology and the chair of the UST theology department. He taught courses in theology, and is the former director of UST’s Honors Program.
Fr. Pilsner joined the St. Thomas faculty in 1997. He was called to Toronto by the Basilian Fathers to take charge of the formation of seminarians in 2000. He returned to teaching at UST in 2002.
Ordained as a priest in May, 1991, Fr. Pilsner earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Gannon University in Erie, Pa. in 1983, and a master’s degree in philosophy from UST in 1985. Fr. Pilsner also holds a Master of Divinity from the University of St. Michael’s College, a doctorate in theology from Oxford University and a postdoctoral licentiate from the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies. |
