Dean's Letter
This issue of Cameron Connections Dean, Dr. Bahman Mirshab discusses some major initiatives of the Cameron School including the selection of the Interim Burnett Family Endowed Chair of Leadership and major curriculum changes to the MBA and MSA programs. These new programs offer cutting-edge courses in such areas as system dynamics, sustainability and entrepreneurship. The new programs offer compressed tracks to better accommodate student needs.


Update on AACSB Accreditation
CSB has been working diligently to seek initial accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate School of Business International. AACSB International accreditation assures quality and promotes excellence and continuous improvement in undergraduate and graduate education for business administration and accounting. AACSB International accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide, an honor CSB is striving to complete.


Events and Open House Schedule
Join us at CSB events where you will have the opportunity to network with other alumni and future students. This year brings the 2nd Annual Alumni Week in March where this year’s keynote speaker is COO and President of CenterPoint Energy, Tom Standish, MBA 1984. We also look forward to hosting an Alumni Social Hour at the Black Lab in March and four graduate open houses during the spring semester.


Banker Believes in CSB Misson
As a member of the CSB Advisory Board, M. G. Shetty encourages alumni to remain active within the school and to serve as spokespersons for CSB. Shetty, a Senior Vice President and Manager of Structured Trade Finance for Bank of Texas believes CSB graduates are very smart, hard working and are top producers. Shetty speaks from experience because his assistant is a CSB graduate.

Afowiri “Kitz” Fondzenyuy’s 2006 CSB MBA project on ethics and corporate social responsibility developed into a career in philanthropic nonprofit management.

Jose Miguel Berlanga is the Cofounder and CEO of Tricon Homes. Berlanga earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree from UST in 1989.
