Decision Making Process
If you are a graduating senior or a graduate student seeking employment upon graduation, educate yourself about job opportunities related to your major. You can do this by attending job fairs, visiting with a career counselor, conducting informational interviews, and speaking with faculty. Additional sites for research and resources.
If you are currently employed but thinking of making a career change upon graduation, evaluate your job satisfaction—Do you enjoy your work? Is this an opportunity to change career fields? Do you need additional training and/or education to either stay in your field or change fields? Visit with a career counselor to learn the pros and cons of your potential career transition and the steps to making a transition.
