How do I reserve tickets for cultural events?
Unless otherwise noted on the publicity for the event (such as St. Patrick’s Day brunch, a concert or the Irish Gala), there is no need to reserve or purchase tickets for William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies cultural events. The events are first-come, first-served. No reservations are accepted and no tickets are sold. Please advise us in advance if you have a mobility issue.
What if I need handicap or other assistance?
As soon as possible before the event, please contact Lori Gallagher at 713-525-3592 or irishstudies@stthom.edu to reserve a seat close to the top of the rooms with stairs, to arrange for a security golf cart escort (713-525-3888) or to arrange for handicap parking near the building, if available.
Where can I get a map and directions with building locations?

Where do I park?
Parking is available in the Moran Center Parking Garage, 3807 Graustark St. at West Alabama, for $2 (quarters preferred) or on the city streets (watch for no parking signs).

Are the cultural events suitable for children?
Yes, unless otherwise noted, the subject matter of the cultural events is suitable for children; however, some musical or storytelling programs may last two or more hours, depending on the event. Most of the lectures will last one to one-and-a-half hours, with questions and answers.

Can I audit a course?
Yes, our courses are available to audit on a space-availability and instructor permission basis.
How do I register to audit a course?
Complete the audit form and deliver it to the Registrar’s Office. No payment is due until the Registrar’s Office notifies you that you have been admitted to the course as an audit student.

How will I know I am admitted to audit a course?
The Registrar will contact you by telephone the day before the first day of the semester.
How many credit hours are each of the courses?
The courses are 3 credit hours, unless otherwise stated.
What is the cost of a course?
The costs vary depending upon whether you take the course for credit or audit and other factors, such as whether you are a former UST student or senior (over 65).
