The Center for Business Ethics (CBES)
Established in 1998, the Center for Business Ethics strives to help business people and students make good choices that benefit themselves, their businesses and their community. We offer ethical leadership education programs and symposia, public lectures, conferences on business ethics, co-host the Ethical Leadership in Action Award and participate with the Greater Houston Business Ethics Roundtable whose annual scholarship award recognizes student contributions to the field of business ethics and leadership.
The MBA ethics courses are designed as service learning classes in keeping with the University’s mission to educate leaders of faith and character, the Center’s mission to manifest ethics in all things and the belief that business is in service to society. Through community outreach we seek collaborative projects with the University of St. Thomas colleagues and staff and the Houston community at-large.
