Fr. Donald S. Nesti, CSSp
Director
 Fr. Donald S. Nesti, CSSp, a native of Pennsylvania, was ordained to the priesthood in 1963. He earned a licentiate and a doctorate in theology at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome. He has served the Congregation of the Holy Ghost in many capacities. Fr. Nesti’s teaching assignments include Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA; the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, OH; and currently the University of St. Thomas School of Theology, Houston, TX. In the administrative field, he served as Director of the Immaculate Heart Seminary, Bethel Park, PA: Director of Planning, Research and Renewal, Congregation of the Holy Ghost USA - Eastern Province; President, Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA; and Provincial Superior, Congregation of the Holy Ghost USA - Western Province. Currently, he teaches at the University of St. Thomas Graduate School of Theology and is the Director of the Center for Faith and Culture.. Fr. Nesti founded the Center in 1994 in response to Pope John Paul II’s 1982 creation of the Pontifical Council for Culture. The Center for Faith and Culture seeks to understand and affect the relationship between the worldview of Catholic faith and culture. In addition, Fr. Nesti has lectured extensively, authored books, published articles, conducted workshops and served as retreat master for clergy, laity and religious groups.

Dr. Adam G. Martinez
Associate Director, Program Director of the MA in Faith and Culture
 Dr. Adam G. Martinez holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership-Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, a Master’s in Theology from the Pontifical College Josephinum, Columbus, Ohio, a Master’s in Spanish from Rice University, and a bachelor’s from the University of St. Thomas, Houston. Dr. Martinez’ research has focused on inclusiveness and diversity in education. His interests include education policy and pluralism within the American context. In 2007, Dr. Martinez conducted research and published a position paper on graduate education in Texas for the Graduate Education Advisory Council at the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. In 2009, Dr. Martinez was recognized as an Exemplary Diversity Scholar by the University of Michigan National Center for Institutional Diversity. Dr Martinez has 18 years experience in institutional advancement and has been a Certified Fund Raising Executive for nine years (2001-2010). He previously served as Director of Major Gifts for UST’s Institutional Advancement Office. His wife, Jane Pinell Martinez, is also a UST graduate, and together they are the proud parents of three daughters, Hannah, Caroline and Sarah.

Jan Skrehot
Assistant Director for Administration
 Jan Skrehot has 14 years of experience as a lay minister with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in the areas of Youth Ministry, Family Life Ministry and Liturgy, and she is a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Institute in Houston, Texas. She studied at the Centro Pro Unione Summer Ecumenical Institute in Rome in 2007, has participated in the USCCB-CADEIO Ecumenical and Interreligious Summer Institutes, and is currently a Masters of Divinity candidate with the Graduate School of Theology at UST. During her service with the Archdiocese, Skrehot coordinated two [Arch]Diocesan youth track conferences, and facilitated and assisted with numerous diocesan workshops, retreats and parish catechetical events. Her work at the Center has included coordinating lecture series, conferences and symposia, and assisting the director and associate director in the development and implementation of the Master of Arts in Faith and Culture.

Greg Arbogast
Administrative Assistant/Development Assistant
 Greg Arbogast graduated Summa Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame in 2009. While there, he composed a thesis on the motivations behind corporate philanthropy as part of the Economics Honors Program. Mr. Arbogast provides administrative support in the areas of marketing, fundraising and the MA in Faith and Culture program. He previously worked as an administrative assistant for Cristo Rey Jesuit College Preparatory in Houston, Texas.
