In May 2009 the Program held the 1st Annual “Hand in Hand Fundraiser” to initiate the partnership between the Program and the Hashoo Project. The event hosted Cristal Baylor as key note speaker and raised just under $5,000.
Clinton Global Initiative
The UST MCP participated in the Clinton Global Initiative University (CGIU) in February 2008 in Austin, Texas. CGIU provided the opportunity to showcase the program and share best practices with other college students and youth organizations whose focus is impacting the world positively through student activism. The students had the opportunity to network with various corporate, non-profit and political representatives, including former President Bill Clinton.
