The Irish Society
The University of St. Thomas created the Center for Irish Studies with financial and other assistance from The Irish Society of Houston, Texas. The William J. Flynn Center for Irish Studies is grateful to The Irish Society for the funding and membership support it has provided the Center through the years. The Irish Society is a community-based group of members who are Irish, of Irish descent or interested in Irish topics. The Irish Society was formed to provide an opportunity for all to experience the richness and diversity of Irish heritage on a nonpartisan, nonsectarian basis. The Irish Society publishes a quarterly newsletter and hosts monthly events, many of which are co-sponsored with the center for Irish Studies.
