Moran Donates Irish Collection to Doherty Library
Through the generosity of Pat Moran, former chair of the UST Board of Directors, the University has purchased a collection of historical and literary primary source materials under the direction of Dr. Joseph McFadden, UST president emeritus, in the McFadden-Moran Collection.
Highlights of the microfilm collection include: GRAIL, a collection of 19th Century Anglo-Irish literature containing the work of 80 authors and more than 500 titles; Dublin Castle Collection: The British in Ireland, a seven-part collection tracing political unrest in Ireland between circa 1880 and 1921, following the Anglo-Irish Treaty, and extensive Irish and Irish American newspapers from 1760 to 1952.
