Center for Irish Studies Celebrates Fifth Anniversary
On January 23, 2008, the Center for Irish Studies celebrates its fifth anniversary. Five years ago, the Center opened in the Link Lee Mansion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Irish Consul General Charles Sheehan, the Most Reverend J. Michael Miller, CSB (Coadjutor Archbishop of Vancouver; then University President), University President Emeritus and Founding Center Director, Dr. Joseph McFadden, Center Director Lori Gallagher, J.D., and many other well-wishing University faculty, staff and friends. Today the Center for Irish Studies resides at 4110 Mt. Vernon on the UST campus.

| Meet The Director |
Lori Meghan Gallagher, J.D., is the Director of the Center for Irish Studies and an attorney. She teaches courses on Irish and Northern Irish history, politics, law and culture. She received a postgraduate degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland on a Rotary Foundation Scholarship and her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of New Mexico. Gallagher oversees the Irish Studies academic, cultural and study abroad programs.
