National Library of Ireland
The National Library of Ireland is the library of record for
Ireland . The National Library is a cultural institution under the aegis of the Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism. Its mission is to collect, preserve and make available books, manuscripts and illustrative material of Irish interest. The library maintains a collection of historical manuscripts, photographs and other materials not generally available elsewhere. The library considers itself as a library of last resort and will generally not provide access to material that is readily available through an academic library to which he/she has access, or to consult material which is available via the public library service. The library, however, does maintain an online collection of online manuscripts and photographs.
The Chester Beatty Library
The Chester Beatty Library and Galleries are situated in the gardens of
