Irving A. Kelter

Dr. Irving A. Kelter has been Chair of the Department of History since 1997. He received his BA cum laude (1969) from the City College, City University of New York and his MPhil (1987) and PhD (1989) from the Graduate School and University Center, City University of New York.
His teaching focuses on medieval and early modern Europe. His fields of research are the history of medieval and early modern science and the relationships between scientific and religious ideas. |
