DEPARTMENT OF THEOLOGY
CHI RHO – Theology Club
The purpose of this student organization is to educate and foster Catholic traditions and heritage and to gain exposure to career opportunities for theology major and minors. CHI RHO can also provide theology graduate school information and opportunities for the discussion of theological topics. This organization is open to all UST students.

Past Special Events:
  • Theology at the Lab
  • Cathedral architecture tour with local architect
  • Viewing of the “The Passion” with discussion afterwards
  • Pro-Life activities
  • Fundraisers
  • UST Diocesan Fair
  • Lenten Lecture Series
  • Theological discussions in a casual atmosphere

THETA ALPHA KAPPA – Theology Honor Club
Theta Alpha Kappa encourages the study of the various branches of theology by promoting discussion, research and publication. Membership is open to all interested students who have completed (3) semesters of study at the University of St. Thomas, and have an overall GPA of 3.O and a minimum of (4) courses in Theology with a GPA of 3.5 in those courses.

The Lenten Lecture Series
Wednesdays in Lent have been highlighted by a series of lectures at the University of St. Thomas. Started and co-sponsored by Mrs. Margaret Hotze of Veritas Catholic Bookstore, the series has covered a wide range of topics important to Catholic life. These lectures are held on the first 6 Wednesday during the Lenten season, and are free and open to the public.

(The series is sponsored by the Theology Department)
