Learning and Writing Center
We offer comprehensive peer tutoring for students currently enrolled at the University of St. Thomas.
The Learning & Writing Center is primarily a tutorial center for writing, but we tutor in other subjects as well. If you are an incoming freshman straight out of high school or you are a non-traditional student who just cannot seem to get started on a particular writing assignment, the LWC is the place for you.
At the LWC students receive personalized instruction in writing from trained student tutors and staff professionals.
Many students think that peer tutoring indicates that they are remedial in some way. Nothing is further from the truth. Students taking Freshman English as well as seniors working on an independent research project come to the LWC. By using the resources offered by the university, you demonstrate to yourself and your professors that you are serious about your schoolwork.
The Learning & Writing Center is located on the 2nd floor of Crooker, room 207, next to the Career Services & Testing Center.
