Schlitterbahn Recreational Trip
9:00 AM to 6:00 PM | Galveston, TX

Enjoy the final days of summer with a trip to Galveston's water park, Schlitterbahn. Take a ride down the lazy river or speed down the water rides. Coolers are permitted, but alcohol is not allowed. Join us for some fun in the sun! Transportation is provided.

100 Thousand Poets for Change
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM | Art Gallery

September 28, 2013 marks the third annual global event for 100 Thousand Poets for Change, a grassroots organization that brings communities together to call for environmental, social, and political change within the framework of peace and sustainability. An event that began primarily with poet organizers, 100 Thousand Poets for Change has grown into an interdisciplinary coalition with year round events which includes musicians, dancers, mimes, painters and photographers from around the world.
Film Screening of Delicious Peace
7:00 PM to 9:00 PM | Ahern Room, Crooker Center

Join us for a film screening of Delicious Peace a documentary about Christian, Jewish, and Muslim coffee farmers of Uganda who fought against social and economic conflict by forming the "Delicious Peace" Cooperative to grow and sell Fair Trade coffee. An interfaith discussion about justice and reception will follow.
