John Paul II, Centesimus Annus and the Renewal of Catholic Political Philosophy
Thursday, February 12, 2009 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Join us for the lecture "John Paul II, Centesimus Annus and the Renewal of Catholic Political Philosophy" on February 12, 2009.
Join Rev. Robert A. Sirico, President of the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty, as he explores the idea of the free and virtuous society as enunciated by John Paul II.
In such a society the truth revealed by faith and reason will be integrated. Fr. Sirico believes that such a society will foster a renewed appreciation for liberty, especially economic Liberty. He will examine the implications of this vision for democracy in the 21st century.
This lecture is funded by the Strake Foundation and sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs and the Departments of Philosophy and Political Science and is part of the Pope John Paul II Forum.
