A Continuing Exploration of the Fertility of the Universe

In the conversation, A Continuing Exploration of the Fertility of the Universe, The Rev. George Coyne, S.J., President
of the Vatican Observatory Foundation, will accompany three University of St. Thomas science faculty members in discussing creation.
Conversation participants from the university include Dr. Don Frohlich, Professor, Biology; Sr. Damien Marie Savino,
Assistant Professor, Environmental Science and Studies; and Dr. Jim Clarage, Assistant Professor, Physics with Dr. John Wilson, from the Center for Faith and Culture, serving as moderator.
The conversation will feature points from Fr. Coyne’s upcoming lecture at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
Fr. George V. Coyne, S.J., is an astronomer who served as the director of the Vatican Observatory for more than two decades. Fr. Coyne earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a licentiate in philosophy at Fordham University in New York.
