Fat Tuesday, February 21, 2012 is the night to “Laissez les Bon Temps Rouler” at the 62^nd annual University of St. Thomas Mardi Gras Gala! This year, we proudly honor, Reverend J. Michael Miller, CSB Archbishop of Vancouver, a man who has held a special place in our university’s history and in our hearts since he began working in our theology department in 1979. He was called to Rome in 1992 to work in the Secretariat of State of the Holy See and we celebrated his return in 1997 as University President. As president, Archbishop Miller enumerated his vision to make the University of St. Thomas one of the great Catholic universities in America. Archbishop Miller assumed his current position as Archbishop of the Vancouver Archdiocese in 2008.  Current UST students benefit from Archbishop Miller’s dedication to Basilian values in a number of ways, including the Archbishop Miller Lecture Series.
