Sign Up for President’s Day of Service Projects

Dr. Robert Ivany invites the campus community to roll up their sleeves and get to work at the President’s Day of Service from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25. Founded in conjunction with Dr. Ivany’s inauguration in 2004, the President’s Day of Service is a time-honored tradition which gives the campus community an opportunity to truly embody the St. Thomas mission of educating leaders of faith and character.
For the eighth year, the President’s Day of Service offers a wide range of service projects. All Celts — students, alumni, faculty, staff and families – will have the chance to work side-by-side and support the University without leaving campus.
The day will begin at 8 a.m. with a breakfast with Dr. Ivany in Crooker Center. All projects begin at 9 a.m. Service projects include:
Events:
Project Linus and Painting Flower Pots:
Making fleece blankets for area Fire Departmens and painting flower pots to be donated to a nearby Nursing Home (Great activity for younger children and families to do together)
- Refurbishing the wood benches throughout the UST campus and painting them. Cleaning Building and Street Signs to make them like new. (Not recommended for children: Involves use of household cleaners, so dress accordingly)
- Painting the new and improved 24 Hour Student Lounge area.
Sign up today. Be a part of this exciting UST tradition!
