The University of St. Thomas welcomes all military students as important members of our community. Dr. Robert Ivany, our president and a Retired Major General in the U.S. Army, is committed to supporting veterans through a first-rate, affordable education. UST collaborates with the Veterans Administration to enable eligible veterans to attend UST with minimal tuition cost — read more about the opportunities provided by the GI Bill.
UST provides an academically rigorous but personalized approach to education with a low student-to-faculty ratio and an average class size of 17. UST offers 35 undergraduate degrees, 10 master’s degrees and 1 doctoral degree through the School of Arts & Sciences, Cameron School of Business, School of Education and School of Theology at St. Mary’s Seminary.
“The University of St. Thomas allows students to have the latitude for creativity and encourages the use of past experience to add value to the classroom. The St. Thomas setting is relaxed and inviting, which helps to develop a student’s ability to be successful in and out of the classroom. I encourage all veterans to explore the possibilities with this unique university that looks to enhance careers and changes lives.” —Stanley Harris, Class of 2010
