UST Worldview Curriculum

UST Worldview CurriculumThe UST Worldview Curriculum was developed to support parishes and schools within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston in teaching about the Catholic faith. Middle and high school students  have an opportunity to dialogue about what being a Catholic means to them through a series of videos presented in the classroom or at CCE classes on Sunday in their local parish.

The instructional material, which incorporates the fundamental truth that “In God the source of human dignity is found”, was developed by UST faculty Drs. Ana-Lisa Gonzalez and Nicole Walters in the School of Education. They see UST Worldview  as a way to link the Christian vision of man and of the world in the classroom.

Each lesson incorporates an exercise that promotes students making a real-world connection with their understanding of their faith. Moreover, this curriculum allows students and teachers to have a voice in the gift of Catholic faith delivering hope, love, and knowledge. Catholic education deepens one’s faith and knowledge to be used to give witness to Christ. Lastly, there is a student leadership component to nurture servant leadership in supporting their parish/school community.

The UST Worldview packet includes a DVD, a USB, and two curriculum guides for high school and middle school instructors.
